This will change your behavior in 60 seconds

Do you ever wonder if leading by example works? Watch this video in 60 seconds and you'll never wonder again. Part of teaching is example, then traditions, practices, explaining why we do what we do.

What you do is going to affect what your child does. You are the child's role model, you show them how they should live life, hopefully it's in the correct way.

Changing behavior may be as easy as changing perspective. This  video shows just how powerful effect your actions have on your children.

If you smoke, your child might follow in your footsteps.
If you litter, your child might follow in your footsteps.
If you do drugs, your child might follow in your footsteps.
If you are extremely aggressive, your child might follow in your footsteps.
If you are racist, your child might follow in your footsteps.
If you abuse animals, your child might follow in your footsteps.
If you yell, especially at one of your children, they might follow in your footsteps.
If you beat and abuse a family member, your children might follow in your footsteps.
If you are helpful to someone, your child might follow in your footsteps.

Children see. Children do.

If we want a more peaceful and harmonious world, we must begin with changing ourselves to become a reflection of that which we aspire to be. Watch. Learn. Implement.

The idea is to set the best possible example we can for our children. To teach them to be kind to themselves, to others and to be the best version of themselves they can be. Yes, what they choose to do in the end is their own decision. But why not try to always be a positive roll model. Just in case they do choose to follow our example, and teach our children what is right and what is wrong. WE are their role models.  We are their guiding light.  Let's show them the right way.  Lead them down the right path.

So, be a positive inspiration to your kids. Be the better parent, be their role model in life, make THEM a better person by making YOURSELF a better person.
